Ghorepani meaning “Horse water” It truly was a watering place for the Horse caravans that traveled between Pokhara & Mustang.Poon Hill (10478 ft 3194 mtr) on the ridge to the west is a popular Viewpoint. Reach the hill in less than 1 hour. Signs point the way to PoonHill, as sources there are very limited. Views of Dhaulagiri and the Kaligandaki gorge are best in the early morning.Especially in short trek duration trek in the Annapurna region to the Viewpoint on Ghorepani-Poon Hill offers all the best of trekking in Nepal Including accommodation in comfortable family run teahouse lodges along the way.
