Highlights:
Kanchenjunga (8598m) is the highest peak lying on the Nepal / Sikkim border. Few westerners have traveled in this region in the past. It is a very rich area of the Nepal Himalaya offering an ideal habitat for musk deer, blue sheep and possibly Yeti also. Excellent views of Everest, Makalu and the Kanchenjunga massif itself, highlight the photographic opportunities. It is the greatest wilderness terrain in Nepal inhabited by a small scattered population.
