Kapan Monastery:
There are monthly courses during March; April May, June, September and October. There are 7 and 10 days course which include groups led by a western nun, Ani Karin. They are residential courses which includes food and a choice of accommodation at the monastery. For one month from mid November to mid December each year there is a meditation course at Kopan Monastery which allows a more intensive encounter with the practice of Tibetian Buddhism. It consists of intensive teachings, meditations and group discussion, and during the second half the Eight Mahayana Precepts are taken daily.

Ogyen Chholing Monastery:

	In the lower Solukhumbu there is a small monastery, Ogyen Chholing where you can take a personal retreat under the guidance of a fully qualified teacher, at 3,000 meters height the Solukhumbu there is further retreat center for just a few meditators.Regular 10 days introductory courses are held in February, March, April, May, June, then again in September and October. The courses give an introduction to Tibetan Buddhism, teach meditation skills.
The courses are led by Khenpo Nawang Rabga, with daily teachings from a Tibetan Lama.
The daily schedule consists of sessions of meditation, teachings and discussions groups. The course leader as well as the Tibetan lamas of the monastery are available for personal guidance.  All courses are residential with accommodation and food provided. Booking for the courses is recommended.
